About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom instruction, facilitating student engagement, providing inclusive support, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom. This position is ideal for someone passionate about child development and committed to fostering a positive educational experience.

Requirements

• 18+ years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior professional experience in a childcare or preschool setting is required.
• DHS Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in executing age-appropriate early childhood activities and lesson plans.
• Facilitate activities that promote holistic student development (social, emotional, cognitive, and physical).
• Provide tailored, one-on-one support for students with diverse developmental needs and learning styles.
• Reinforce daily classroom routines and implement positive behavior management strategies.
• Assist in observing student behavior, documenting developmental milestones, and drafting progress reports.
• Support consistent, professional communication between the classroom and families.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space while strictly adhering to all health and safety protocols.
• Attend and engage in all mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and workshops.
