About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is hiring an Assistant Teacher at Le Bon Enfants Laskin. The role supports infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms and involves working with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and keep the classroom functioning smoothly. Assistant Teachers partner with families to nurture and care for children, use electronic daily tracking to document milestones, and follow enhanced safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe classroom. The academy describes its workplace as inclusive and team-oriented, with on-the-job training and opportunities for career development from Assistant Teacher to Center Director. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding. Employment is at-will.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool experience is preferred.
Be able to stand for six to eight hours daily and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and perform similar movements while working with children.
Be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Be able to visually supervise children at all times.
Successfully complete the background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience.
Early childhood coursework, a CDA, or a degree.
