About The Position

The Gardner School is a state-of-the-art educational program for young children and their families. The Assistant Teacher supports the safety and care of children and helps maintain positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and coworkers. Requirements

• One year of professional experience.
• Love working with children and have a loving, nurturing personality.
• Excellent communication skills, including face-to-face communication with parents, staff, and children.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and intermediate PC skills.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education and some experience with young children.
• A BS or BA degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during daily drop-off and pick-up.
• Ensure the safety of each child.
• Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum, and software.
• Read, understand, and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and state licensing agencies.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and coworkers.
• Advise the Director or Assistant Director of supplies needed for upcoming months.
• Follow the standards for the conduct and responsibilities of staff members who come in contact with children.
