About The Position

The Gardner School is a state-of-the-art educational program for young children and their families. The Assistant Teacher works with infants and toddlers, supporting their safety and care while maintaining positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers. Requirements

• One year of professional experience.
• A loving and nurturing personality and an interest in working with children.
• Excellent communication skills, including face-to-face communication with parents, staff, and children.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and intermediate PC skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• A BS or BA degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Some college education and experience with young children are described as ideal.

Responsibilities

• Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during daily drop-off and pick-up.
• Ensure the safety of each child.
• Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum, and software.
• Read, understand, and implement The Gardner School’s policies and procedures and those of applicable state licensing agencies.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and coworkers.
• Advise the Director or Assistant Director of supplies needed for upcoming months.
• Follow the standards for the conduct and responsibilities of staff members who come in contact with children.
