About The Position

At Chesterbrook Academy in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the Assistant Teacher helps preschoolers learn through exploration and play in a supportive classroom. Requirements

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to balance structure, creativity, and fun in a busy preschool classroom.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Meet applicable state licensing requirements.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting; preferred but not required.
• CDA or a degree in Early Childhood Education; preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children of all ages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on learning experiences through activities, stories, art, music, movement, and play.
• Help preschoolers build confidence, independence, early academic skills, and friendships.
• Use the school’s curriculum and lesson-planning resources while contributing creative ideas.
• Build relationships with children and communicate with families about each child’s day, growth, and milestones.
• Partner with fellow teachers and school leaders to create a positive, supportive classroom.
