About The Position

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will work alongside a Lead Teacher to create a welcoming classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and everyday learning moments. You will help provide an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore.

The role also involves serving as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and a collaborative member of the teaching team, helping make early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Have genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Have the physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate classroom lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation, including attendance and daily reports.
