About The Position
The Learning Experience – Manassas City is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. Working alongside Lead Teachers, you will help create a safe, positive environment where children learn through play, daily routines, and meaningful relationships. This position is ideal for someone with childcare experience who enjoys being part of a collaborative teaching team.
Requirements
- Previous professional childcare experience required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teachers with classroom routines and learning activities
- Support children during meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers
- Encourage positive social interaction, communication, and independence
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Follow Virginia childcare licensing requirements and center policies
