Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Genuine warmth, patience, and empathy for preschool-age children and their families
  • Works productively without supervision and collaborates effectively with classroom team members
  • Basic understanding of child development and school readiness milestones
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that build early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness skills
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development during this critical pre-kindergarten stage
  • Help guide children through the social dynamics of preschool — sharing, cooperation, conflict resolution, and building friendships
  • Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supervise and provide individualized attention and support to children in your care
  • Assist in communicating with families about their child's progress, milestones, and daily activities
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing guidelines
  • Support routine classroom tasks to promote a nurturing and structured learning environment
