Requirements

High school diploma required
Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
Genuine warmth, patience, and empathy for preschool-age children and their families
Works productively without supervision and collaborates effectively with classroom team members
Basic understanding of child development and school readiness milestones
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

Nice To Haves

associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that build early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness skills
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development during this critical pre-kindergarten stage
Help guide children through the social dynamics of preschool — sharing, cooperation, conflict resolution, and building friendships
Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
Supervise and provide individualized attention and support to children in your care
Assist in communicating with families about their child's progress, milestones, and daily activities
Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing guidelines
Support routine classroom tasks to promote a nurturing and structured learning environment
