About The Position

Kids Country Child Care & Learning Center is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Assistant Teacher for their Infant Room. This role involves creating a fun and nurturing environment for young children, supporting lead teachers, assisting with toddler activities, and helping across classrooms. The position is initially part-time, with hours primarily from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, but may be available with full-time hours. The center is located on the Country Manor Campus in Sartell, MN, and offers opportunities for intergenerational programming with senior living communities.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• 1+ year experience in a childcare center
• 1+ year of full-time college credits in Education or a related field; or be working towards a degree in Education
• Meets the requirements under MN Rule 3 to be an Assistant Teacher
• CPR/First Aid Certified, or willing to become certified
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and families

Responsibilities

• Interacting and building relationships with students, parents, and other teachers
• Assisting the lead teacher in daily activities such as art, science, music and movement
• Creating and leading a supportive, nurturing learning environment
• Teaching children how to interact with the world around them
• Taking students on field trips
• Participating in special campus events
• Overseeing daily activities, such as science experiments, cooking class, music, games, arts and crafts, dance parties, recreational play in the gym and outdoor playgrounds, and so much more
