About The Position

The Assistant Teacher II will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, curriculum implementation, and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians. The Assistant Teacher II plays a crucial role in fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.

Requirements

Associate's degree (AA/AS) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.

Nice To Haves

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Experience with specific curriculum frameworks.
Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest periods.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.
Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
Assist with record-keeping, including attendance and daily reports.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
