Assistant Teacher - Fifth Grade (2026-2027 School Year; Begins Late August 2026)
About The Position
Assistant Teachers work collaboratively with the Classroom Teacher in all day-to-day aspects of classroom management, including teaching, assisting students, grading papers, organizing classroom activities, and clerical duties. They may also attend parent conferences and be involved in parent communication, curricular planning, consulting with other faculty, or contributing to student evaluation and documentation, as welcomed or deemed appropriate by the Classroom Teacher. This role is a one-year commitment, with opportunities for renewal based on teacher recommendation and appointment by the Head of Lower or Intermediate School. Assistant Teachers participate in professional development activities throughout the school year.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
- Commitment to further developing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging related skillset.
- Enthusiastic desire and commitment to learn and improve professionally.

- Recently certified teachers.
