About The Position
The Learning Experience – Cascade is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Working alongside experienced Lead Teachers, you'll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children learn through play, build friendships, and develop important early skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
Responsibilities
- Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities
- Engage children through play, art, music, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
- Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Collaborate with teaching teams and center leadership
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
