About The Position

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity in the Athletics Department as a Full-Time Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach. We have been ranked No. 1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Guide for the last 27 consecutive years. As our Full-Time Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach, you will be responsible for assisting the head coach in managing the swimming & diving program by providing ongoing assistance in recruitment, training, and leadership for student athletes while creating positive experiences for all individuals participating in the swimming & diving program. You will be expected to act as a role model, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship, conduct, and values in support of the mission and vision of the Institute. This position will be heavily involved in recruitment efforts, including player evaluation and communication with prospective students from the identification stage through matriculation. You will be expected to attend recruiting events throughout the Midwest and nationally to identify potential recruiting targets. As our Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach, you will analyze and review video and metrics to evaluate skills and communicate with athletes on plans for development. Additional responsibilities will include managing program equipment, assisting with travel logistics, and preparing opponent’s scouting reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One to two years’ experience playing or coaching at the collegiate or professional level
