About The Position
Under direction, oversees the daily inspection of private development and contract construction so that District construction requirements are enforced. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District provides comprehensive wastewater and storm water management services to residents and businesses in both St. Louis City and County. Requirements
- Oversees the daily inspection of private development and contract construction so that District construction requirements are enforced.
Responsibilities
- Assigns and oversees the work of resident inspectors, construction inspector seniors, construction inspectors, consultant inspection personnel, administrative support staff
- Visits construction sites to view progress of work; confers with contractors, consulting engineers, land developers, public officials and the general public as necessary
- Oversees the daily contract management of projects where applicable
- Oversees final inspections and dedication inspections for recommended construction approval or corrections and escrow release
- Checks all periodic and final quantity estimates on contract work before payment is made or reviews all final documentation on development projects prior to final acceptance
- Assists in the development and preparation of detailed Capital Improvement Program (CIRP) project schedules and costs
- Prepares annual CIRP budget supplement; assists in the development and preparation of departmental operating budgets
- Maintains records and prepares reports
- Performs duties and responsibilities and related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.
