About The Position

Technica is seeking to hire an Assistant Supervisor for the TMP Division at Fort Bliss. This role involves supervising the TMP (Transportation Motor Pool) which provides services including general administration, dispatch, and control of the LRC's GSA fleet. The position requires oversight of after-duty-hour on-call service to support emergency transportation requirements, in accordance with various DOD and Army regulations. The Assistant Supervisor will evaluate vehicle requests, determine availability, prioritize mission-essential requests, and provide bus/truck and driver support within the Ft Bliss AOR. Responsibilities also include coordinating maintenance with customers, vendors, and GSA, ensuring successful completion of all mission operations, performing employee discipline counseling, performance reviews, and personnel reporting, approving employee timesheets, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and ensuring employees adhere to physical security policies and regulatory guidance.

Requirements

At least five years of supervisory experience.
A comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in TMP management.
In-depth knowledge of applicable program relationships, concepts and methodologies pertaining TMP operations.
Operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized.
Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others.
Skill in written and oral presentations.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work.
Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.

Responsibilities

Supervise the TMP which provides services to include general administration, dispatch and control of the LRCs GSA fleet.
Provide oversight of after duty-hour on-call service to support emergency transportation requirements.
Evaluate vehicle requests in accordance with AR 58-1, determine availability of the vehicle type requested and give priority to mission essential requests.
Provide bus/truck and driver support to meet authorized requirements for the Ft Bliss AOR.
Coordinate among customers, appropriate vendors, and GSA to ensure prioritizing and performance of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
Ensure successful completion of all mission operations in accordance with established policies and management goals regarding funding, storage, workload, manpower capability, component, issue, equipment items, and inventory control procedures.
Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reporting.
Reviews and approve employee time sheets.
Screen applicants and conducts interviews for open position.
Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security, and monitors for compliance.
