About The Position

This role involves interpreting and applying established quality standards, assisting with warehouse management procedures, and prioritizing quality inspection and repairs of garments. The position requires modifying errors, consulting with management on quality deviations, preparing chargeback worksheets, and processing customer returns. Additionally, it involves conducting audits, compiling reports, and potentially interacting with external parties. The role also includes managing employee attendance, anticipating overtime needs, and training staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Five Years experience in all phases of apparel
  • Ability to add subtracts, multiply and divide using all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Computer knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Office, RLM, WM and Lognet.
  • Understand measurements and how to read spec sheets.
  • Understand AQL standard.
  • English- Reading and Writing
  • Sit more than 1/3 of the day; walk/stand less than 2/3 of the day
  • Lifts weight or exerts force up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer one to two years experience as a supervisor of a department

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply established OJG Quality standards and procedures to all finished goods received.
  • Assist Operations Manager in maintaining all WM procedures, functions and reports.
  • Prioritize quality inspection and repairs of all garments received to support the overall goals of the VA warehouse operations.
  • Modify any errors from inspectors on PKMS.
  • Consult with Operations Manager whenever anything fails to conform to established quality standards to determine proper action needed to resolve the variation in question.
  • Prepare charge backs work sheets for Operations Manager review.
  • Unpack and sort returns to be created and credited back to customer.
  • Conduct Quality and carton integrity audits.
  • Compile basic reports following established formats and procedures.
  • May interact with customers, suppliers, or company employees outside immediate work area to give or exchange information.
  • Effectively communicate any variances to quality standards and/or carton integrity audits to resolve the disposition of the products involved.
  • Train and assign staffing necessary to achieve the delivery of an on time high quality product.
  • Anticipate overtime needed and confer with Operations Manager on changes in the work schedule to achieve department/company needs.
  • Maintain employee attendance records.
  • Work closely with chargeback clerk and returns clerk keeping records of quality and returns for reporting and referencing.
  • Staying current with quality projects, returns, auditing and chargebacks.
