About The Position

The Assistant Supervisor, Manufacturing supports production operations by leading a team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while ensuring adherence to operational and quality standards. The role is execution-focused and includes hands-on production activities as needed to meet operational demands. It reports to a Manufacturing Manager or Director and may direct production employees within an assigned area or shift.

Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in manufacturing, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing experience with prior leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of production workflows, KPIs, labor planning, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in manufacturing systems, KPI tracking, data analysis, and problem-solving tools.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to manage daily performance and corrective actions.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to focus on multitasking and managing overlapping priorities.
• Meet the stated physical demands, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
• Wear designated PPE and/or electrostatic dissipative protection where required.

Responsibilities

• Support production team execution to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity cost targets.
• Perform hands-on production activities as needed to maintain workflow and meet operational demands.
• Reinforce adherence to operational and quality standards to ensure compliant production.
• Support management of staffing, output, and on-time delivery within the assigned production area or shift.
• Resolve moderately complex production and personnel issues to maintain daily operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, Program Management, and maintenance to resolve operational challenges.
• Communicate production performance, issues, and improvement plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance feedback to production employees.
• Support labor utilization, overtime control, and reduction of scrap or rework to improve performance.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
