About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assistant Supervisor - Facilities to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA! The core hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm or 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. However, they are based on operational needs and may require flexibility to support facility operations across multiple shifts. There is also overtime every other Saturday based on business need. The hourly rate for this position is $23.12 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year of janitorial, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, or related experience
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience in custodial, housekeeping, facilities, or related operations
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to maintain schedules and inventory records
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials and safe handling practices
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable while fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing operational needs
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental and weather conditions while standing or walking for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and working from ladders, platforms, or lifts
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work safely with exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, and odors while wearing required PPE (including protective eyewear and steel toed boots)
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, maintain regular and reliable attendance, and adjust work schedules or rotate shifts as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively, interact professionally with employees at all levels, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing and monitoring campus-wide cleaning operations, including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and grounds, ensuring quality and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Support workforce scheduling and daily staffing activities, including work assignments, absences, breaks, and staffing recommendations.
  • Coordinate and perform periodic commercial cleaning projects, including carpet cleaning, floor care, and window cleaning.
  • Assist with inventory management by ordering, tracking, and maintaining cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Support employee development through onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and policy enforcement.
  • Promote a safe work environment by reporting incidents, addressing unsafe conditions, and ensuring compliance with all company safety and security procedures.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Department to coordinate repairs, facility upkeep, and light maintenance activities for non-manufacturing areas.
  • Ensure proper use, care, storage, and operation of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Manage daily cleaning checklists and work assignments while assisting team members with cleaning tasks as operational needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
