About The Position

The Golf Club at Lansdowne, a premier 45-hole private club in scenic Loudoun County, VA, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent. This role offers an opportunity for a motivated turfgrass professional to grow their career at a high-end private golf club, focusing on championship-level course conditioning, team leadership, and professional development. The club features three distinct courses: the Robert Trent Jones II Course, the Greg Norman Championship Course, and the Sharkbite 9-hole course. The position involves managing varied turfgrass types, navigating the challenges of the Mid-Atlantic Transition Zone, and overseeing advanced irrigation and drainage systems. The club utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including modern machinery with GPS capabilities and on-site agronomy facilities. The Assistant Superintendent will gain hands-on experience supporting PGA TOUR events and high-level tournaments, contributing to the club's commitment to sustainability through various environmental programs. Professional development is strongly encouraged, with support for pesticide license acquisition, GCSAA certifications, and attendance at educational conferences. The role offers cross-training and leadership development opportunities across multiple courses.
