DoD SkillBridge Internship: Assistant Superintendent
About The Position
This opportunity is exclusive to U.S. military members currently serving on active duty and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program. The Assistant Superintendent supports daily field operations and works alongside the Superintendent to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules on complex construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting with trade coordination, material tracking, site logistics, and safety compliance. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to support overall site operations as needed.
Requirements
- U.S. military members currently serving on active duty and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program.
- Demonstrate interest in construction management or the construction industry.
- Have served at least 180 days on active duty.
- Be eligible to participate during the final six months of military service prior to separation or retirement.
- Be expected to receive an honorable discharge.
- Have completed the Transition Assistance Program (TAP/TGPS).
- Have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
- Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the internship.
