About The Position

AECOM Federal has an immediate need for a 2nd Shift Assistant Superintendent for our project at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. This role assists the project Superintendent and Project Manager by performing a variety of tasks in support of construction activities. The Assistant Superintendent ensures project safety compliance. Activities include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications and quality standards, maintaining project documentation, and interfacing with other administrative field staff. At this level, incumbents normally handle a wide range of relatively complex protocols and are viewed as fully competent within the limits of their experience. This position works under general supervision.

Requirements

HSD/GED and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
6 years of experience in a professional environment.
Experience with documentation processes.
Strong safety leadership and incident prevention record.
Ability to read and interpret complex documentation.
Proficiency in various software programs including MS Project.
Experience in overseeing operations for compliance and ensuring protocol/policy are followed.
Clear communication, proactive problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, and schedule-driven execution.
