Job Summary: Supervises daily a Self-Perform Work (SPW) scope field operations, contributes to achieving project-specific goals. Facilitates clear communication among SPW field crews and trade partners, promoting a collaborative and solution-oriented environment on SPW job sites. Reinforces strict adherence to safety and quality standards by diligently following SPW procedures and actively participating in site inspections and audits. Contributes to precise project documentation and reporting for self-perform activities, supporting informed decision-making by SPW project leadership. May execute several typical superintendent responsibilities if the job serves as the highest authority on project sites, overseeing all aspects of site operations and project execution. Plans and assigns SPW field crews to daily and weekly work activities and develops detailed weekly work plans and phase-level schedules to support safe, coordinated, and predictable self-perform execution.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in SPW field engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Program Completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour Construction preferred.
  • ASHE, CHC, or relevant market certification preferred.
  • OSHA 510/500 or equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the management and development of a team of SPW field individuals, fostering skill growth and ensuring quality performance under guide of SPW leadership.
  • Supervises daily SPW site activities and implements both standard and non-standard SPW quality control measures for various SPW trades to ensure strict compliance with project plans, SPW scopes, and safety protocols.
  • Manages coordination of the delivery and allocation of materials, tools, and equipment for self-perform tasks to maintain uninterrupted workflow on SPW operations.
  • Monitors accurate daily logs and progress reports specific to self-perform work, thoroughly documenting project milestones, productivity, and any issues encountered.
  • Communicates routine updates and field concerns related to self-perform activities and in-scope trades to SPW leadership, enabling timely resolution of challenges and alignment with project goals.
  • Participates in safety meetings and site inspections to reinforce a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within SPW teams.
  • Supports SPW field teams in addressing routine operational issues on site and escalates more complex matters to appropriate project leadership as needed.
