Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college. Four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in admissions, testing, recruitment and retention, counseling, or other related student service activities.
  • Experience working with a diverse population.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with community agencies, and social services to identify recruitment opportunities.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including week-ends and evenings.
  • Ability to work on a team with diverse individuals.
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver.
  • Possess ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent time management skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual is an important PLUS
  • Knowledge of the greater Houston area and familiarity with the service area school districts, universities and colleges, preferred
