About The Position

Provides support to the Student Personnel Officer. Responsible for the management of the Center’s Behavior Management System, including training staff and students, and assessing the need for system changes with Student Government. This role involves assisting in student orientations to the disciplinary system, discussing rule infractions, distributing restriction lists, and maintaining disciplinary records. The position also supports the Student Personnel Officer in various aspects of student personnel management and may act as the Student Personnel Manager/Officer. The role requires maintaining good housekeeping, complying with safety practices, and adhering to all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices, and Center policies. Additionally, the employee will model and mentor Career Success Standards to enhance student employability and must participate in mandatory PRH staff training. Requirements

  • Degree from a four-year college or university and/or related experience in Juvenile Justice or Human Services.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in orientation of new students to the disciplinary system and penalties.
  • Provides assistance and discusses infractions of Center rules and regulations with individual students based on incident reports.
  • Assists in distributing weekly restriction lists to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists in the maintenance of records related to Center discipline.
  • Assists in maintaining each student's disciplinary record.
  • Informs students of appointments for the Disciplinary Council or Student Personnel Manager.
  • Informs students of required disciplinary hearings and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining and submitting weekly activity reports, including class attendance, infractions, dorm incidents, and dorm cleanliness.
  • Assists in ensuring students meet disciplinary guidelines when moving to another program phase.
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining liaison with juvenile and law enforcement agencies.
  • Assists the Student Personnel Officer in all aspects of student personnel.
  • Acts as Student Personnel Manager/Officer.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and complies with safety practices.
  • Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
  • Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
  • Participates in PRH mandated staff training.
