About The Position

Beyond Yoga is a luxury athletic and lifestyle clothing brand that prioritizes quality, inclusivity, and attention to detail. Since September 2021, Beyond Yoga has been part of Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.), operating as a standalone brand. The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will support the Store Manager in fostering a creative and sales-focused environment. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual capable of building the future of retail while upholding the brand's core values. The ASM will contribute to creating an engaging and inspiring atmosphere for both employees and customers, leading retail strategies, supporting store operations, and driving sales goals. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM assumes full responsibility for the store and its operations.

Requirements

3 years of progressively responsible retail leadership experience.
Solid experience and demonstrated skills in supervising, coaching, and training a team.
Retail apparel experience.
Strength in customer service and selling with the ability to multi-task and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment.
Strategic thinker with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in Beyond Yoga.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store, including evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and constant standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, carrying items, and reaching overhead; comfortable climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

Accountable for operational excellence in daily store procedures, payroll management, cash handling, and inventory control.
Supports the Store Manager in leading the team to achieve sales goals and financial plans, focusing on employee engagement and a collaborative selling environment.
Assesses and strategizes to drive performance goals (Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Sales Per Hour, and other KPIs).
Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, and retention of store team members.
Supports the onboarding process for new hires, educating them on Beyond Yoga's core values, product knowledge, selling culture, and responsibilities.
Ensures flawless store visual presentation by following corporate visual direction and recommending merchandising adaptations.
Manages product inventory through accurate receiving and sending processes.
Processes and completes business directives such as price changes, RTVs, markdowns, and transfers.
Prevents loss by educating associates on customer service and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Partners with the Home Office as needed.
Drives process adoption, opens and closes the store as a visible service leader, and supports the resolution of customer concerns.
Coaches and develops staff to enhance their knowledge and skill sets, providing opportunities for growth within the organization.
Manages minor employee relations issues, including performance management and holding associates accountable for policies.
Builds relationships and fosters a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
Collaborates with the store team and Home Office partners to build connections with the local community through events, driving brand awareness and engagement.
Acts as a brand ambassador, embodying and cultivating the company's core values.
