About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager with daily retail store operations to support maximum sales and profitability. The role covers merchandising execution, expense and inventory management, training and development, human resources management, and outstanding customer service. The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain store standards, support the team, and ensure the store meets company goals and policies. The standard work week does not exceed 40 hours, and a flexible schedule is required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee may work in multiple stores within the assigned district and must be willing to travel.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail management experience.
• Solid knowledge of business and excellent command of English for communicating with management, associates, and customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including poise, tact, and diplomacy when handling sensitive or confidential situations.
• Ability to think strategically and plan and organize effectively.
• Professionalism in all situations.
• Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, solve administrative problems, and prioritize work.
• Results-driven approach and critical and creative thinking skills.
• Project management, time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and use independent judgment, compassion, and diplomacy.

• Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.

• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel by car, plane, or train.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality and performance of retail store staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Model effective leadership to gain commitment to store goals and training standards.
• Assist with recruiting, selecting, training, and developing store personnel.
• Assist the Store Manager and provide feedback on annual performance evaluations for store employees.
• Assist with expense management and develop strategies to help stores perform within budget.
• Help monitor and identify loss or inventory inconsistencies and support shrink goals at or below company plan.
• Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
• Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Uphold customer service standards and provide customers with a friendly environment and outstanding service.
• Assist with accurate and regular merchandise inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
