About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will grow the company brand by delivering best-in-class service and bringing to life a distinctive world of adult beverages and more for customers. You will support store operations and help build a sales and service culture to expand the customer base and maximize profitability. Internally, the role is referred to as Assistant Manager and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of work experience, including 2+ years of proven managerial or supervisory experience in a retail setting.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and remain on your feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading the store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example, fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable store atmosphere, and resolving customer issues.
• Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
