About The Position

Kay Jewelers is seeking a dynamic, driven, and creative Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and help the team deliver a superior customer experience. The role contributes to individual and team achievement of sales and profit projections, develops team members’ skills and product knowledge through training and evaluation, and supports recruitment and selection. The Assistant Store Manager also follows and enforces Company policies and procedures and performs other operational and strategic duties. Kay provides training in sales techniques, product knowledge, and job skills, with opportunities for career development and advancement.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience; experience with a jeweler or specialty retailer is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating POS terminals and scanners and using basic computer software and hardware.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining daily focus on individual and team members’ standards achievement to attain sales and profit projections.
• Contribute to an atmosphere of total customer satisfaction.
• Develop team members’ skills and product knowledge through training and evaluation.
• Recruit and select team members.
• Follow and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other operational and strategic duties.
