About The Position

Mignon Faget is a heritage Louisiana jewelry brand that designs, manufactures, distributes, and retails jewelry and lifestyle products. For over 50 years, Mignon Faget has sold beautiful jewelry conceived from an artist’s perspective with a continued commitment to artisanal craftsmanship, unique inspiration, and the creation of something distinctively original. We are currently accepting applications for Assistant Manager at our newly renovated the Shops at Lakeside Gallery. The assistant manager is responsible for leading a team of dedicated and thoughtful sales professionals who can, on site, convey the message of our unique brand to our collectors. This is a full-time position that warrants commitment and passion.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience selling luxury goods.
  • Proven track record in sales generation and managing the achievement of sales results.
  • Availability to report to work 15 minutes before the retail location opens.
  • Ability to be on the sales floor for a minimum of 75% of the workday.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable using a computer and POS system.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong independent work ethic, excellent time management skills, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Have a thorough knowledge of Mignon Faget jewelry and strong sales tactics.
  • Earn the trust of collectors, develop a robust client list.
  • Handle customer concerns and inquiries.
  • Achieve sales’ goals and inspire sales team members to achieve their personal goals.
  • Assist in the maintenance and operation of the retail location.
  • Report to the gallery manager all pertinent data concerning the operation of the store.
  • Check daily all mail incoming and outgoing, in the courier bin, and email.
  • Assist in training your team of sales professionals in the operations of the location.
  • Motivate peers towards achieving sales goals.
  • Achieve and exceed your sales goals.
  • Monitor what is out of stock.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Oversee jewelry shipments.
  • Polish jewelry.
  • Oversee the general cleanliness and maintenance of the location. Any task that cannot be performed by the staff (such as mechanical maintenance) should be reported to the maintenance facility at the mall location or to the Retail Director.
