About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets, ensuring profitable store operations, and providing superior customer service. This role involves managing store personnel, merchandise, cash, budget, and facilities. The Assistant Store Manager assumes supervisory responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven sales background.
  • Demonstrated selling skills.
  • Working knowledge of outreach and corporate selling programs is a plus.
  • Proven success in a supervisory role, preferably in a specialty retail environment.
  • Basic math and/or accounting skills.
  • 1+ Years of prior Retail Management experience, preferably in a premium specialty environment.
  • Prior experience with a computerized POS system.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with arms.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends (Saturday and Sundays) and Holidays.
  • Must successfully pass a background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure store meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets.
  • Model Lindt standards and core competencies through everyday activities.
  • Communicate the store's sales mission effectively to staff.
  • Quantifiably articulate overall store metrics and performance.
  • Motivate staff, build brand commitment, and hold staff accountable to meeting KPIs and sales opportunities.
  • Identify and capture external sales opportunities.
  • Proactively manage inventory levels to meet sales demands and quality assurance guidelines, minimizing stock issues.
  • Support the Store Manager with hiring, managing, and developing store personnel.
  • Assist with recruiting qualified individuals for open positions and networking for candidates.
  • Train staff to company standards, ensuring daily operations and sales are achieved.
  • Assist with training and developing staff sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Escalate issues to the Store Manager and Retail District Manager effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure store meets or exceeds company standards for operational controls, including inventory control/shrink, cash management, audit compliance, payroll/labor management, and expense control.
  • Comply with specific store scheduling templates.
  • Follow company directives accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all quality assurance Policies & Procedures.
