About The Position

Lori’s Gifts is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to help lead a compassionate retail team in a hospital gift shop. The role supports a welcoming guest experience grounded in integrity, empathy, and excellence. The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain merchandising and operational standards, support sales, oversee inventory needs, and assist with team scheduling, training, and coaching. The position also requires independently opening and closing the store and may include handling bank deposits. Duties may be adjusted to meet ADA compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with warmth and attentiveness.
• Maintain merchandising standards and support sales growth.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
• Follow visual merchandising and promotional guidelines.
• Uphold operational procedures and company policies.
• Accurately process transactions using POS systems and may handle bank deposits.
• Assist in scheduling, training, and coaching team members.
• Independently open and close the store.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
