About The Position

Beyond Yoga is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Century City store in Los Angeles. The role supports the Store Manager in leading store operations and the team, delivering sales and financial goals, and creating an engaged, collaborative selling environment. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for operational execution, including daily procedures, payroll management, cash handling, inventory control, and opening and closing the store as a visible service leader. The position also contributes to hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, visual presentation, loss prevention, employee relations, and community engagement. The role serves as a brand ambassador and helps cultivate Beyond Yoga’s values and an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• Progressive retail leadership experience and demonstrated skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions, including lifting up to 40 pounds and the physical activities described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily store procedures and maintain operational excellence, including payroll management, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Support the Store Manager and team in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and the financial plan, with a focus on employee engagement and collaborative selling.
• Drive adoption of store processes and open and close the store as a visible service leader.
• Help resolve customer concerns and achieve positive outcomes.
• Assess and develop strategies to improve performance measures, including conversion, units per transaction, and sales per hour.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and retaining store team members.
• Support new-hire onboarding and educate employees about Beyond Yoga values, product knowledge, selling culture, and responsibilities.
• Execute store visual presentation in accordance with corporate direction and recommend merchandising adaptations when needed.
• Manage product inventory accurately, including receiving and sending products, and assist with price changes, retickets, returns to vendor, markdowns, and transfers.
• Help prevent losses by educating associates on customer service and ensuring company policies are followed.
• Coach and develop staff, build their knowledge and skills, and provide opportunities for continued development and growth.
• Manage minor employee relations issues, including performance management.
• Hold associates accountable for following Beyond Yoga and LS&Co. policies and procedures.
• Build relationships and foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborate with the store team and Home Office partners on local community connections and events that drive brand awareness and engagement.
• Act as a brand ambassador who embodies and cultivates the company’s core values.
