About The Position

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and help create a successful sales and performance culture. The role supports team selling, recruitment, associate training and coaching, goal-setting, store operations, and company initiatives. The Assistant Store Manager also helps ensure appropriate product merchandising and the safety and security of associates and customers. In the Store Manager’s absence, this role is responsible for employee relations issues within the store.

Requirements

Retail experience.
Prior management experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
Support a team selling environment.
Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
Help create reachable, high goals for yourself and associates, and ensure the store has the staffing levels needed to achieve total store goals.
Handle employee relations issues within the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Participate in analysis of the P&L.
Lead change for associates and champion company initiatives.
Ensure products are merchandised properly according to company directives.
Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
