About The Position

TrailersPlus is looking for an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to help drive the success of our retail lot. In this role, you’ll be a key partner to the Store Manager, overseeing everything from high-stakes sales and inventory to staff development and hands-on service work. If you are organized, customer-focused, and ready to lead a team, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 6–12 months of related experience/training.
  • Ability to write reports and speak effectively with customers.
  • Proficiency with online computer systems and basic math (discounts, percentages, etc.).
  • Willingness to obtain company certification for forklifts, tractors, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to obtain state and city vehicle sales licenses where required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus!

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in hitting sales goals for trailers, parts, and service labor.
  • Manage daily processes, including trailer inspections, inventory control, and vendor relations.
  • Help hire, onboard, and train a productive team. You’ll be responsible for keeping the workplace respectful, safe, and accountable.
  • Handle all invoicing and state-required paperwork with precision and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure the facility and grounds are professional, clean, and organized to promote safety and security.
  • Act as the primary leader in the Store Manager’s absence, making critical decisions to keep the business running smoothly.
