The Assistant Store Manager assists the store manager in daily store activities. In the absence of the store manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes all store manager duties. This role involves assisting with payroll, disciplinary actions, and dispatching road service calls to ensure timely service scheduling. The Assistant Store Manager also manages mount/dismount technicians to achieve revenue targets, oversees overtime according to business volume, and monitors the quality of all service work performed. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving of tire and wheel recons orders, assisting the sales department with shop work scheduling, and submitting service department payables for approval. The role also handles scrap tire disposal processing, assists with new hire orientation, and schedules employee shifts. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager handles customer calls and issues. Other duties may arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.
