About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the store manager in daily store activities. In the absence of the store manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes all store manager duties. This role involves assisting with payroll, disciplinary actions, and dispatching road service calls to ensure timely service scheduling. The Assistant Store Manager also manages mount/dismount technicians to achieve revenue targets, oversees overtime according to business volume, and monitors the quality of all service work performed. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving of tire and wheel recons orders, assisting the sales department with shop work scheduling, and submitting service department payables for approval. The role also handles scrap tire disposal processing, assists with new hire orientation, and schedules employee shifts. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager handles customer calls and issues. Other duties may arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Must be able to work independently, and also in a team environment doing other job duties as assigned.
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Work Authorization: United States (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the manager in daily store activities.
  • Assume all store manager duties when the manager is off.
  • Help assist with payroll and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with dispatching road service calls and making sure service is scheduled timely.
  • Manage mount/dismount technicians to hit and exceed monthly revenue numbers.
  • Manage all overtime according to business volume.
  • Monitor Quality of all service work performed.
  • Shipping and receiving of all mounted tire and wheel recons orders.
  • Assist sales department with scheduling incoming work to the shop.
  • Submit service department payables to Location Manager for approval and payment.
  • Scrap Tires disposal processing (OOSTA).
  • Help assist with New Hire Orientation for the store new hires.
  • Schedule employee shifts.
  • Handle customer calls and issues.
