Meijer is expanding its footprint in the Detroit Metro Area and is seeking passionate leaders to join their team as Assistant Store Directors for the East Detroit Market. This role is an opportunity to be part of a thriving organization that is shaping the retail landscape in Detroit. The ideal candidates must be able to travel to or be placed at any one of the specified store locations throughout the East Detroit Market. The position involves providing direction related to store operations, processes, and conditions, planning and supervising the team in day-to-day operations, and being responsible for team member selection, training, development, and performance management. The role also focuses on developing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability, ensuring customer needs are met and complaints are resolved effectively. Additionally, the Assistant Store Director is responsible for merchandising products and displays to maximize sales and profitability, forecasting staffing needs, and developing recruiting strategies. The role requires working in a manner that reflects the Meijer brand and values.
