About The Position
The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office has multiple openings for full-time Assistant State’s Attorneys to prosecute serious, felony offenses. Salary range: $78,000-$105,000/year, commensurate with experience and abilities. Madison County is located just 30 minutes east of downtown St. Louis and offers affordable housing in dozens of smaller towns and cities with a wide range of recreational and educational resources.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience as a litigation attorney required.
- Exceptional communication, research, and writing skills are essential.
- Must be a licensed attorney within the State of Illinois at time of application, or provide evidence of eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
Nice To Haves
- Senior felony prosecution or defense experience, especially multiple years prosecuting violent crimes, preferred.
- Pending Motion for Admission by Reciprocity strongly preferred.
