About The Position
The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office has multiple openings for full-time Assistant State’s Attorneys to prosecute serious, felony offenses. Madison County is located just 30 minutes east of downtown St. Louis and offers affordable housing in dozens of smaller towns and cities with a wide range of recreational and educational resources.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience as a litigation attorney required.
- Must be a licensed attorney within the State of Illinois at time of application, or provide evidence of eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
- Exceptional communication, research, and writing skills are essential.
Nice To Haves
- Senior felony prosecution or defense experience, especially multiple years prosecuting violent crimes, preferred.
- Pending Motion for Admission by Reciprocity strongly preferred.
