About The Position

The Assistant Starbucks Manager supports the Starbucks Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Starbucks Department. This position helps ensure exceptional customer service, beverage quality, food safety compliance, inventory management, sales growth, and team development. The Assistant Starbucks Manager assists in maintaining a clean, efficient, and profitable operation while providing leadership to associates and delivering a consistent Starbucks experience for customers.

Requirements

• Support sales growth through suggestive selling, promotional execution, and customer engagement.
• Ensure customers receive high-quality beverages and food products that meet company and Starbucks standards.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards.
• Monitor proper food handling, product dating, storage, and temperature control procedures.
• Maintain department cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times.
• Ensure associates comply with safety policies and operating procedures.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective action initiatives as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and reconciliation processes.
• Control waste and minimize shrink through effective inventory management practices.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and promotional materials are properly displayed.
• Monitor sales trends and product movement to support inventory planning.
• Execute seasonal promotions and new product launches.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily Starbucks operations, including beverage preparation, food service, stocking, and cleaning.
• Ensure recipes, beverage standards, and presentation guidelines are consistently followed.
• Monitor product availability and assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and storage of all products and supplies.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Support achievement of department productivity and financial goals.
• Assist with supervising, scheduling, training, and coaching Starbucks associates.
• Provide day-to-day direction and support to team members.
• Reinforce customer service standards, operational procedures, and beverage quality expectations.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with onboarding and development of new associates.
• Assume leadership responsibilities in the Starbucks Manager's absence.
