About The Position

The part-time assistant Track and Field Sprints Coach provides instruction and leadership to student-athletes under the direction of the head coach. The part-time assistant coach is primarily responsible for teaching proper techniques and skill development in the sprints, relays, hurdles and any other responsibilities as directed by the Head Coach. Position responsibilities include planning and executing instructional practice sessions, facilitating discipline-specific lessons and attending meets. Other responsibilities may include monitoring academic progress of student athletes, recruitment of student athletes and other athletic support functions.

Requirements

  • A motor vehicle driving record acceptable to CTX is required.
  • Ability to drive team vans to necessary sites.
  • Ability to articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values.

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds.
  • Ability to travel long distances via automobile and/or airplane.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • One year of college level athletic coaching is preferred.
