POSITION PROFILE The Assistant Spa Manager will manage the spa team and provide leadership, coaching, development and direction to all spa staff. The Assistant Spa Manager will be accountable to ensure financial success and provide an exceptional guest experience in a professional atmosphere

Requirements

  • 1+ years spa management experience, hotel/resort spa strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage teams, hit budgets, and maintain high service standards
  • Strong operational skills: scheduling optimization, inventory control, P&L management
  • Experience with spa management software (we use Book4Time)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of luxury spa brands and treatment modalities
  • Professional presentation and demeanor

  • Background working with premium spa product lines
  • Experience in luxury hotel or destination resort environment
  • Familiarity with evolving guest expectations in the spa and wellness space
  • Problem-solver who can think strategically while executing tactically

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day spa operations including scheduling, staffing, and treatment room flow
  • Optimize treatment room utilization to maximize revenue and minimize guest wait times
  • Oversee inventory management, product ordering, and retail merchandising
  • Ensure compliance with brand partner protocols and treatment standards
  • Maintain facility standards and coordinate with hotel maintenance/housekeeping
  • Lead, coach, and develop spa team (therapists, aestheticians, front desk)
  • Collaborate with Director on hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
  • Create staff schedules that balance business needs with team preferences
  • Run productive staff meetings and training sessions
  • Address performance issues professionally and document appropriately
  • Foster team culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and guest service
  • Track retail performance and implement strategies to increase product sales
  • Partner with Director on pricing, promotions, and revenue strategy
  • Control labor costs while maintaining service standards
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and solution-focused approach
  • Ensure consistent delivery of Selah's service standards
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments for seamless guest journey
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements
