WORK PROGRAM/STUDENT
About The Position
To gain exposure to US manufacturing processes as an Assistant Software Engineer through a one-year internship program. This role involves supporting the IT department with program troubleshooting, updating the troubleshooting log, and collecting project requirements. The intern will also be responsible for creating project SOPs and development documentation, as well as developing project sub-functions. The program includes quarterly goals focused on learning existing procedures, developing basic programming and database skills, resolving project issues, and completing sub-function development and field testing. The ultimate goal is to use learned skills to develop a database application or web function with full maintenance documentation.
Requirements
- Must be a current college student enrolled in the Electronic Engineering field
- Fluent in English communication required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required
- Familiar with VB.NET and SQL syntax in MySQL required
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance
- Demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress
- Fostering productive workplace interactions
Nice To Haves
- Familiar with web development
- Other programming language preferred
