About The Position

This role is a Director within the Sports Product Management - Team job family. The position involves participating with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives, making final decisions on implementation, and ensuring operational effectiveness. The role cascades functional strategy and contributes to the development of organizational policies. The Director is accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets. This role works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply. The Director translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution, participating in OpCo development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people, ensuring budgets and schedules meet OpCo requirements. The position contributes to the development of strategies of a function or multi-departments. Erroneous decisions will have a critical long-term (typically up to five years) impact on the overall success of the function or multi-departments. The Director interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers, frequently involving negotiating matters of significance to the organization and reconciling multiple stakeholder views to drive business results. This role directs the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management and leads teams to develop new methods and solve complex matters.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior soccer playing or coaching experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working with school age children.

  • Have a strong understanding of and proficiency with computer technology.

  • Additional Associates or bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business Studies, or related field is preferred.
