About The Position

This position will assist the Head Coach in the leadership and supervision of the athletic program that has been assigned to him/her. The individual may also have teaching assignments or other duties assigned and will be responsible for assisting in the supervision and/or controlling of his/her players’ behavior in the residence halls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of basic first-aid techniques
  • 2 years of relevant work experience required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision of all activities of the assigned athletic program
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the high school coaches of the district
  • Maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with the administration, faculty, and support staff
  • Assist in the supervision of the student athletes participating in his/her athletic program in the areas of conduct and academic performance
  • Assist in maintaining and reporting accurate scholarship information to the Director of Athletics, Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, and others as needed and as assigned by the head coach
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of athletic supplies and equipment assigned to his/her program
  • Coordinates, through the head coach, requests for repairs and/or improvements of assigned facilities
  • Participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program
  • Must be knowledgeable of NJCAA and MACC rules and regulations. Adherence to these rules and regulations is mandatory.
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
  • Supports the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities
  • Actively participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program
  • Participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities
  • Represents the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned by the President and/or supervisor
