About The Position

The Assistant Site Manager sets policies and makes decisions guiding productivity, quality, and cost efficiency of operations in a Warehousing and Vehicle Maintenance Facility under the supervision of the Site Manager. This position directs, manages, and optimizes the overall operations of vehicle maintenance, warehouse operations and production control. The Assistant Site Manager will establish systems to collect metrics, analyze productivity, and set performance targets under the guidance of the Site Manger that will meet revenue and cost goals using the current Military system of record, GCSS-Army. In addition, the Assistant Site Manager ensures robust safety and security procedures, and training are in place and that operations follow all required regulations. The Assistant Site Manager assists the Site Manager with any labor relations activities involving the site. The Assistant Site Manager directs assists with site level support functions including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources to ensure alignment with overall site operations. Duties include creating functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and developing budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Assistant Site Manager should possess a deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Requirements

  • GCSS Army Certified
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Physically capable of lifting to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work independently on various office administrative duties with attention to details.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office, word processing, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Proficient in using EMS-NG.
  • Broad knowledge of Army logistical functions.
  • Ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise or promote improvements in logistical programs.
  • Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
