About The Position

The Assistant Shop Manager will spend the majority of their time in the shop, leading with an eyes-on-production mindset. This role involves partnering with the Shop Manager to ensure excellent communication from the front door to the shop floor, implementing and holding employees accountable to policies, and identifying, creating, and maintaining a positive team culture. The Assistant Shop Manager will also take part in quality control checks, ensure employees meet safety and OSHA standards, manage, train, and hire Detailers and the detail department, and handle all sublets and sublet communication. Additionally, they will be responsible for the quality control of all completed vehicles, utilize a variety of management and estimating systems, and train with the Shop Manager to understand business financials and meet financial goals. Extensive training in each department is provided before taking on management responsibilities to ensure success and a full understanding of all business facets.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, bend and manage car parts in excess of 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• 2-5 years of experience in the auto body/ automotive/ dealership industry, or relatable field.
