About The Position

Responsible for the daily operations of managing the shop, inventory, quality, and presence. Maintains equipment operation, inspections, and keeps records of maintenance work performed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of equipment maintenance, construction, and repair experience, with a commitment to learning new industry technologies and resources
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of refinery turnaround planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem -solving skills.
  • Proficient in industrial mechanical systems and refinery/decontamination equipment.
  • Strong math, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20%.
  • Work is primarily performed in a shop environment.
  • Requires frequent standing, stooping, reaching, lifting, carrying (40+ lbs.), and use of hand tools and equipment requiring dexterity.
  • Requires good hearing and both near and distance vision.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures equipment reliability through inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintains shop organization, cleanliness, tools, supplies, and inventory.
  • Repairs, adjusts, overhauls, and replaces equipment components and systems as needed.
  • Manages maintenance vendors and coordinates equipment logistics and rotation.
  • Tests equipment performance and maintains maintenance and repair records.
  • Controls costs by leveraging warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
  • Supervises employees handling equipment, inventory, and shop operations.
  • Promotes open communication, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
  • Builds strong working relationships with employees, customers, and all levels of the organization.
