Responsibilities
- Assign and direct job assignments of associates throughout the shift to maximize efficiency within the Shipping and Receiving department.
- Support cross-training measures to ensure associates’ ability to perform all tasks within their department.
- Assist and coach shipping associates in their day-to-day work, safety, and overall performance to promote productivity and teamwork.
- Enforce all company factory rules, policies, and progressive discipline process.
- Monitor the production and shipping schedules to ensure acceptable on-time loading and deliveries.
- Implement processes to reduce loading times, shipping damage, inventory processing errors, and other departmental goals.
- Observe and enforce all applicable safety requirements.
- Support Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and Manager as needed to maintain material flow.
