About The Position

Ready to make a real impact for animals, for people, and for your own career? Join our Boston Adoption Center team as a Full-Time Assistant Manager (40 hours/week, weekends required). Relocation assistance available for out of state applicants. Salary: $55,000–$70,000, depending on experience. Requirements

1 year of management or supervisory experience (non-profit preferred)
2 years in animal sheltering, veterinary services, or comparable human-services fields preferred
A compassionate, people-centered leader who believes deeply in helping animals and their families
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
A commitment to maintaining the positive, supportive culture we’ve built

Responsibilities

Guide and support an incredible team of staff and volunteers
Ensure top-quality daily care for animals in our center
Create positive, respectful experiences for adopters, surrenderers, and visitors
Assist with training, scheduling, performance development, and team culture
Provide euthanasia counseling while upholding the highest standard of respectful, compassionate care
